About the Speaker
Ms Cameron has over 25 years’ experience as both a Human Resources Consultant and as a corporate trainer, having delivered seminars and workshops on a number of topics including Board Roles and Responsibilities, Governance Methods, Strategic planning, Team Building, Volunteer Recruitment, Conflict Resolution and Effective Meeting Strategies. She has provided consultations in Human Resources for the Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC, the Royal York in Toronto and Sam Lord’s Castle in Barbados as well as working with Law Enforcement Agencies in the United States designing recruitment protocols and procedures.
Ms Cameron has provided assistance to numerous clients to help build efficient, effective and progressive organizations. She has also delivered Career and Employment Counseling Sessions for Aboriginal Youth throughout rural and Northern Manitoba and is currently working as the Manager of Training and Development with Volunteer Manitoba.
Ms Cameron is a past Premier`s Volunteer of the Year award winner as well as being named Volunteer of the Year (2006) with Community Futures East Interlake and serves on numerous committees throughout the Interlake region both as a volunteer and as a Director. Ms Cameron also instructs with Red River College in Human Resource Management, Management Development, Volunteer Management, Business Administration and Aboriginal Self Governance programs in their Continuing Education department. Prior to becoming Manager. Training and Development with Volunteer Manitoba, Ms Cameron was a facilitator for ten years with our organization specializing in board governance and organizational capacity development.
