Each year, MAVA honours a leader in the field of volunteer administration through its Outstanding Service Award for Leadership of Volunteers. Launched in 1996, the Leadership Award recognizes a MAVA member who has significantly contributed to the profession through their leadership, creativity, knowledge and integrity. Nominations are welcome from all members of the community, provided that the nominee meets the eligibility criteria.
Online submissiosns for 2012 Leadership Award is now closed. The winner will be announced on at the Annual General Meeting on May 9.
Criteria for Eligibility of Nominees:
- MAVA member for a minimum of three years
- Employed in a capacity that involves volunteer administration
- Not a previous award recipient, although may have been previously nominated
- Not a current member of the Award Selection Committee
- Must score a minimum of 120 out of a maximum of 240 points in Achievements and Contributions information as provided by the nominator.
If you are nominating more than one candidate, please submit a separate nomination form for each candidate. The Award Selection Committes bases thier decision only on the information that has been submitted. Therefore, all information that is submitted is final, confidential, and binding.
