Kelly Seifert, now the Director of Member Relations for the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce, attributes the skills she’s learned within the volunteer management sector from the Red River College Volunteer Management Program coinciding with her previous employment at the Winnipeg Football Club. She has been working within the volunteer/not for profit sector for over eight years, beginning her employment in rural Manitoba, hands on with active community volunteers.
Kelly has been publicly recognized for her volunteer management efforts when her volunteer team won the ‘Winnipeg Blue Bombers Chairman’s Award’ in 2013, and has been publicly recognized for her entrepreneurial drive more than once this year as a finalist for the 2014 ‘Future Leaders of Manitoba’ award as well as been used in the Red River College Volunteer Management Programs marketing materials. She is also currently waiting on the outcome of the Prime Ministers Award under the “Community Leader” category, as she is one of the nominees.
