Hon. Kerri Irvin-Ross, Minister of Housing and Community Development presenting the 2011 Leadership Award to Angie Boehm

As is the case with most people, Angie stumbled in to volunteer management at Seven Oaks Hospital in 2001. How fortuitous for her as it was the International Year of Volunteer. One of her first tasks that year was to glue the ten cent commemorative coins issued that year to thank-you cards for volunteers. Angie joined MAVA in 2006 volunteering on the Professional Development Committee headed up by Rhonda Lorch and Lorraine Wilks. Currently, Angie is employed at Health Sciences Centre. She has achieved her Certification both in Volunteer Management and Human Resource Management President and is currently working toward achieving a Degree in Conflict Resolution Studies at the University of Winnipeg.
